The poll for “Which compiler do you use to program your MSP430?” is now closed. Compared to the last poll, we had a double number of voters, which is a really good response. A total of 40 votes were cast with the breakdown as in the following figure:
Please note that this poll is not an indication that a particular compiler is better than the other. The “Other answer” vote was MSP430-GCC, which counts towards MSPGCC.
GCC ftw. Daily, I use a mixture of OSX, Linux and Windows and GCC works everywhere.
While the compilers from IAR may be ok, this series of articles about the quality of their sample code really puts me off of them.

Good link and many well brought out points, but the articles point more towards the examples and the underlying driver base, rather than the compiler.
