Bolton let us know that TI along with Anaren have released a wireless Booster Pack based on the the CC110L radio – 430Boost-CC110L AIR. This is the second Booster Pack after the release of the Cap. Touch Booster Pack in April. Since then, a number of community generated packs have been added to the mix.
The CC110L AIR BoosterPack is a low-power wireless transceiver extension module for use with the Texas Instruments MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad development kit. Based on the CC110L device, the on-board A110LR09A radio module with integrated antenna operates in the European 868-870MHz and US 902-928MHz ISM bands. The included AIR BoosterPack software application, called AIR BoosterStack, demonstrates an example sensor network as well as network status reporting.
A rich GUI also accompanies it:
The kit retails for $20 at the TI Estore. Each kit contains:
- 2 A110KR09x-LPD BoosterPack boards, featuringAnaren AIR modules
- 2 MSP430G2553IN20 MSP430 Value Linemicroprocessors (pre-flashed w/control firmware)
- CD
- Quickstart guide.
Do you know if this will work with the Chronos watch? (assuming they have the same frequency)

Thank you for the pointer.
Any idea what the range is on these? Quick search doesn’t turn up much :(. Also what about star networking with them? I have a current project that would be MUCH cheaper with a $20 pair of radios.
No info on range. Might want to do a quick check with Anaren.
range is around 300 m i think. not yet done range check .
simpler sample code for anaren air booster.
