uCDude sent this pic over to us today, possibly shown Embedded World – 2012 at Nuremberg, Germany. It seems to have a footprint similar to the Launchpad with a couple of new components like the battery backup and new connectors. What really stands out is the LCD BoosterPack. It looks like an e-ink display which would suit the low-power MSP430. If anyone has more information on the board, let us know in the comments below. It will be interesting to see new stuff that TI has to offer with Wolverine – probably an expansion of the Launchpad family.
Thanks uCDude.
Board was shown at embedded world. No details yet without NDA. Further details to be released in June.
The lcd board has two vertical scroll cap sense, er, buttons on it. Being able to scroll through the eink screen options.
Good point. Never noticed that.
Looks like a Sharp memory LCD

I see a supercap rechargeable power button
That is correct. The white connector looks like a JTAG pinout.
I can second Adrian’s guess on Sharp LCD. I would say ‘1.35-inch PNLC Memory LCDs’. 6uW at 3V looks promising. http://www.sharpmemorylcd.com/1-35-inch-memory-lcd.html#LS013B4DN04
Is it in the market yet?
Not yet. We’ll post about it once it becomes available.
