Contiki is an open source OS for the Internet Of Things. It started way back in 2003-2204 and has been slowly adding hardware platforms and technologies to its growing list.

A few days back, version 3.0 of Contiki was released, which included support for the CC2650 Sensortag as well as new network protocols(IP64/NAT64/DNS64). The OS now also supports the Zolertia Re-Mote run by TI’s ARM Cortex-M3 CC2538 supporting IEEE 802 and Zigbee protocols.

Contiki uses the Thingsquare platform to put Contiki running devices and sensors to the cloud.
